The Director’s Toolbox Management Series of books are designed as easy-to-read books, written specifically for directors of early care and education programs, full of practical ideas and resources directors can immediately use. As a co-author of several books and trainer’s guides as well as the national trainer for over 20 years, Jill is the leading authority on the series. Program Administration Scale, 3rd Edition (PAS-3)

The PAS-3 is a valid and reliable tool that measures whole leadership functions of center-based early childhood programs. It includes 25 items, clustered in 9 subscales, covering a wide range of measurements in areas such as hiring and compensation, fiscal management, technology, and community outreach.

The PAS-3 can be used for:

  • Program self-improvement

  • Technical assistance

  • Monitoring

  • Training

  • Research and evaluation

  • Public awareness

Training aligned to each PAS-3 item is available for directors and coaches. As a co-author and national anchor of the PAS-3, Jill brings her astute content knowledge to every training.

Administration Role Perception Survey (ARPS)

As lead author of the ARPS, Jill can provide directors with support in analyzing the Individual Profile and determining next steps for career growth. Jill also provides project coordinators and executive leadership with support in analyzing the ARPS Aggregate Profile and determining next steps for large-scale professional development. Early Childhood Work Environment Survey (ECWES)

As a national expert on the ECWES, Jill can provide directors with support in analyzing the Individual Profile—identifying where to begin and determining how to involve staff in the process of organizational change. Individualized training for staff based on your center’s unique results are also available. If you are an administrator of multiple sites, Jill also provides support analyzing the ECWES Aggregate Profile and determining next steps for large-scale professional development. Customized trainings on practical leadership topics

As a master trainer and developer of over 100 training sessions, Jill specializes in developing trainings that contain practical examples, time to review and reflect on concepts, and ideas that can be immediately implemented.
